NASA TESTS ORION LAUNCH ABORT SYSTEM ATTITUDE CONTROL MOTOR - JSC
NASA, Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and Lockheed Martin performed a ground test of a full-scale attitude control motor (ACM) for the launch abort system (LAS) of the Orion crew exploration vehicle. The test was conducted at ATK’s facility in Elkton, Md. on Dec. 15. It was the sixth in a series of ground tests of Orion’s ACM system.
The motor is charged with keeping the crew module on a controlled flight path in the event it needs to jettison and steer away from the Ares rocket in an emergency. The entire LAS is scheduled to be demonstrated during a Pad Abort-1 flight test at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in the spring of 2010.

President Barack Obama will ask Congress next year to fund a new heavy-lift launcher to take humans to the moon, asteroids, and the moons of Mars, ScienceInsider has learned.
NASA would receive an additional $1 billion in 2011 both to get the new launcher on track and to bolster the agency’s fleet of robotic Earth-monitoring spacecraft.
The current NASA plan for human exploration is built around the $3.5 billion Constellation program."

３）国民の負託にこたえるために成立させていただいた連立政権を維持するためには、社民党、国民新党の意思を尊重する必要があること、です。

今、無理をして辺野古に決めてしまったら、国政にどのような影響を与えるのか、沖縄県民の方々がどのような思いをされるのか、こうしたことをよく考えてみる必要があります。結果として、移設の完了がさらに遠のくことが容易に予想されます。そのことはアメリカにとっても望ましくないはずです。
そこで政府として、一方で米軍再編に関する予算は計上し、環境影響評価も進めながら、他方で新政権としても、数カ月かけて、今一度普天間の移設先を真剣に検討することにいたしました。
来年は日米同盟が５０周年を迎える節目の年になります。普天間問題を越え、日米関係が新たな深化を遂げる年になることを確信しています"

NASA, Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and Lockheed Martin performed a ground test of a full-scale attitude control motor (ACM) for the launch abort system (LAS) of the Orion crew exploration vehicle. The test was conducted at ATK’s facility in Elkton, Md. on Dec. 15. It was the sixth in a series of ground tests of Orion’s ACM system.
The motor is charged with keeping the crew module on a controlled flight path in the event it needs to jettison and steer away from the Ares rocket in an emergency. The entire LAS is scheduled to be demonstrated during a Pad Abort-1 flight test at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in the spring of 2010.

NASA, Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and Lockheed Martin performed a ground test of a full-scale attitude control motor (ACM) for the launch abort system (LAS) of the Orion crew exploration vehicle. The test was conducted at ATK’s facility in Elkton, Md. on Dec. 15. It was the sixth in a series of ground tests of Orion’s ACM system.
The motor is charged with keeping the crew module on a controlled flight path in the event it needs to jettison and steer away from the Ares rocket in an emergency. The entire LAS is scheduled to be demonstrated during a Pad Abort-1 flight test at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in the spring of 2010.

NASA, Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and Lockheed Martin performed a ground test of a full-scale attitude control motor (ACM) for the launch abort system (LAS) of the Orion crew exploration vehicle. The test was conducted at ATK’s facility in Elkton, Md. on Dec. 15. It was the sixth in a series of ground tests of Orion’s ACM system.
The motor is charged with keeping the crew module on a controlled flight path in the event it needs to jettison and steer away from the Ares rocket in an emergency. The entire LAS is scheduled to be demonstrated during a Pad Abort-1 flight test at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in the spring of 2010.
