The first time I've heard him again since 1969! He has a great voice - gentle modulation. I find I'm gripped waiting to hear what he's going to say. Very interesting talk too. I was asleep in bed when Apollo was on TV in the middle of the night (thanks a lot Mum & Dad!).
It was the early hours of the morning of 21st June when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. My parents had the good sense to wake me, aged eight, so that I could watch it. Nothing could even come close to matching the excitement. The co-incidence of rocket science and television made it a cosmic and global happening. I am sorry you missed it, and even more sorry for all those born too late to remember a human on the moon.

This is the transcription of the Apollo ll flightcrew communications as recorded on the command module (CM) data storage equipment(DSE), and subsequently transmitted (dumped) to Manned Space Flight Network stations. Magnetic tapes containing dumped voice and onboardrecorded ground elapsed time (GET) were forwarded to the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, Texas. Transcription of these tapes was mauaged by David M. Goldenbaum, Test Division, Apollo Spacecraft Program Office

The first time I've heard him again since 1969! He has a great voice - gentle modulation. I find I'm gripped waiting to hear what he's going to say. Very interesting talk too. I was asleep in bed when Apollo was on TV in the middle of the night (thanks a lot Mum & Dad!).
It was the early hours of the morning of 21st June when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. My parents had the good sense to wake me, aged eight, so that I could watch it. Nothing could even come close to matching the excitement. The co-incidence of rocket science and television made it a cosmic and global happening. I am sorry you missed it, and even more sorry for all those born too late to remember a human on the moon.

This is the transcription of the Apollo ll flightcrew communications as recorded on the command module (CM) data storage equipment(DSE), and subsequently transmitted (dumped) to Manned Space Flight Network stations. Magnetic tapes containing dumped voice and onboardrecorded ground elapsed time (GET) were forwarded to the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, Texas. Transcription of these tapes was mauaged by David M. Goldenbaum, Test Division, Apollo Spacecraft Program Office

The first time I've heard him again since 1969! He has a great voice - gentle modulation. I find I'm gripped waiting to hear what he's going to say. Very interesting talk too. I was asleep in bed when Apollo was on TV in the middle of the night (thanks a lot Mum & Dad!).
It was the early hours of the morning of 21st June when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. My parents had the good sense to wake me, aged eight, so that I could watch it. Nothing could even come close to matching the excitement. The co-incidence of rocket science and television made it a cosmic and global happening. I am sorry you missed it, and even more sorry for all those born too late to remember a human on the moon.

This is the transcription of the Apollo ll flightcrew communications as recorded on the command module (CM) data storage equipment(DSE), and subsequently transmitted (dumped) to Manned Space Flight Network stations. Magnetic tapes containing dumped voice and onboardrecorded ground elapsed time (GET) were forwarded to the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, Texas. Transcription of these tapes was mauaged by David M. Goldenbaum, Test Division, Apollo Spacecraft Program Office
