"反陽子は、欧州原子核研究所(CERN)の反陽子減速器(AD)から供給した500万電子ボルトの“低速”反陽子ビームを、高周波四重極減速器(RFQD)によって50万電子ボルト程度までさらに減速し、これを超伝導ソレノイドと多重電極トラップとを組み合わせた捕捉装置で捕捉しました(図1)。この技術を駆使することで、これまでに比べて数10倍から数100倍の効率で反陽子を捕まえることができるようになります。2007年度には1,000万個の反陽子蓄積にも成功し、研究グループの持つ記録を更新しました"

After acquiring compositional data from a rock target informally named "Wendell Pruitt," Spirit had to wait a few sols (Martian days) to have enough energy to conduct atmospheric studies and move the robotic arm out of the way for a panoramic-camera portrait of a rock target known as "Freeman." First, the rover had to make a "phone call" to Earth to correct for drift -- changes in time -- in the spacecraft clock. "
