The Beijing Olympic flame arrived in Bangkok early today. The main ceremony and parade begins at 3:00 pm (0800 GMT) on Saturday. Eighty Thai torchbearers will carry the flame for about 10 kilometers through Bangkok's Chinatown, where it will be protected by thousands of police and soldiers.
Police said those who disrupt the Olympic torch run will be unconditionally arrested and charged with causing public disturbance.
