ダークエネルギーの証拠

宇宙背景放射のゆらぎの観測結果から（WMAP、図５）、遠い像を見るときに宇宙は凸レンズにも凹レンズにもなっておらず、宇宙は“平坦”であることがわかっています。これは、宇宙の密度を示すパラメーターΩ（オメガ）が、１であることと同じことです。Ωは物質由来だと考えられていました。しかし物質だけでは、まだ見つかっていないダークマター（暗黒物質）を合わせても0.3にしかならないことが、WMAPの観測から示されています。つまりあと0.7が、何か別のものから来ていると考えなければつじつまが合わないのです。
